Fly Fishing
Montana is legendary for the outstanding world renowned Blue Ribbon trout streams it is host to (Gallatin, Yellowstone, Madison and Jefferson Rivers - to name a few). One of which, the Gallatin River, flows right through Big Sky. Big Sky has several outfitters to help you wet a line successfully ­ whether through a walk/wade or a drift boat!

Hiking
Big Sky has miles upon miles of trails and with Yellowstone National Park, Gallatin National Forest and Lee Metcalf Wilderness located within a few minutes drive, the possibilities are endless. Don’t forget your water bottle, sunscreen, rain gear and wear comfortable hiking shoes!

Mountain Biking
Along with hiking trails, there are numerous mountain biking trails around Big Sky and at Big Sky Resort (you can ride all the way to Yellowstone National Park without crossing a major highway). State of the art mountain bikes are available for rent (don’t forget your helmet).

Camping
Gallatin Canyon has many camping spots between Bozeman and West Yellowstone. Gallatin National Forest and Lee Metcalf Wilderness surrounds the Big Sky area for backcountry camping opportunities.

River Rafting & Kayaking
There are several river guides located right here in Big Sky to take you on an adventurous ride down the Gallatin River. These companies can customize a river trip for any level of excitement!

· Big Sky Resort offers a public 18 hole Arnold Palmer course in the Meadow.

· Coming Soon: Moonlight Basin will be offering a Jack Nicklaus 18 hole course (2009). Contact Rivers to Peaks Real Estate for more information.

· The Club at Spanish Peaks has a newly completed (August 2007) 18 hole Signature Tom Weiskopf Golf Course. Private course - please call Rivers to Peaks Real Estate for information on joining The Club at Spanish Peaks.

· Yellowstone Club also hosts an 18 hole Tom Weiskopf golf course. Private course - call Rivers to Peaks Real Estate for information on joining the Yellowstone Club.

Tennis
There are two locations of tennis court facilities in Big Sky. One is located in the Meadow (4 courts) and the other is at Ophir School (2 courts).
